Costumes

We had to decide on three costumes: our protagonist, the journalist and the dancers (well danceR. singular. since we ended up using shots of a solo.) Knowing Huza (our protagonist) and Mizgan (our journalist), they already have a good sense of style so whatever they would wear would fit in perfectly with the assignment. Here's
some photos of Huza's (left) and Mizgan's (right) outfits previously worn.

I decided to give them their creative freedom on costumes since I knew they would understand the assignment (they did!). However, I did give them both Pinterest boards as inspirational sources just so they would get the vibe we were going for (can you tell I love making a Pinterest mood board for everything?)

Now for the dancer, we went with a simple white top and blue bottoms. We wanted this because Khattak dance is traditionally not performed in western wear. This disruption is the norm represents themes of the music video- how something new or innovative can become the target of outrage. In cancel culture, even positive developments can be met with negativity if they challenge the status quo.
