Organisation
After planning out our shoot, obtaining permits and have a cast, all we had to do was gather our material.
Most of the props were Fajar's job to obtain and bring such as the picnic mat, fruits, candle holder e.t.c.
I was on camera gear duty. The night before I made sure that I had all my batteries charged, my SD card had storage, my lenses were packed...the whole shebang.
We needed a light for our project in case we decide to shoot in any spot where the sunlight did not offer ample lighting so I ordered a RGB LED light from my camera plug (Faheem Bhai at Canon Global Photos over on Nisbat Road) which he delivered just in time for our shoot (the night before).
What I also realised the night before during a last minute costume fitting was that we did not have churian, mehendi or khusse (shoes) for our actress which was a non-negotiable so me and Musfirah drove off to the market to get the required goods 😉.
For commute, we decided that Fajar was going to pick me and the actress up from my place and we'd drive to Food Street first for our initial shots. Then we would move forth to Dehli Gate and Sabeel Wali Gali for the rest of our shots. Finally, Fajar would drop me and Musfirah off at the Orange Train's Anarkali Station and pick us up at the Ali Town station so we could get the train shots we required.
Now that everything was planned and set, it was time for a good nights sleep and a hectic shoot day ahead!
