Shooting "I See You"
After we were done brainstorming and planning, it was time to commence the shoot which we were rather eager to do. We picked a free lesson on a Wednesday afternoon and began filming in our school's courtyard.
My Canon M50 served as our trusty workhorse, capturing all the shots. Thanks to my prior personal exercises, I was equipped with a decent understanding of composition and camerawork, which I put to good use in this project.
I served as the director for this video whilst Fajar produced it. Fajar, me and Aimen were the actors while Raha shot the entire thing (this was before she dropped media).
With a shoestring budget of 150 rupees, Fajar, our producer, secured a shawarma from the canteen as a key prop for the film.
We used our school's courtyard as the location to shoot the film, given our resource constraints.
Ideally, we would have had a multiple camera setup to capture different angles however that wasn't feasible with the budget of 150 Rs hence to maintain viewer engagement despite filming from a single angle, I meticulously directed the actors to precisely replicate their mannerisms across multiple takes. This approach proved successful after a couple of tries, and we were finally ready to embark on the post-production stage.
