Editing "I See You"

The next step in the process of making my final preliminary was to commence editing all our shots together.

Here was my time to use all the editing knowledge I gained through my previous two projects and apply them. Using Capcut as my editing software, I imported all my footage into my timeline, cut it up and organized it into order.

Sound Design

Colour Grade

Since this was a silent project without any diegetic sound, I went ahead and imported the non-diegetic audio I required and edited the clips to match the beats of the audio.

After doing a bunch of research on Youtube that fit the Thriller genre of the film, I finally landed upon "Tension Mode" by Sound Ride Music. The song is a suspenseful thriller with a haunting atmosphere. The slow, deliberate music builds tension throughout. I proceded to edit my clips accordingly.

To color grade my footage I used one of Capcut's built-in LUTs, "High Saturation". The goal of the color grading was to create a visual style that reflects the suspenseful and often dark nature of the thriller genre. The colors and lighting worked together to create a sense of unease, keep the audience on edge, and visually represent the danger faced by the characters.

After I was done with all my edits, I exported the final product in 1080p and 24 fps to my camera roll and uploaded it to Youtube.
